We take some simple but necessary precautions.
Size and Temperament
All dogs must pass a temperament test prior to joining the pack in play! Play groups are divided by size and temperament of dog. Small dogs play with small dogs and the larger dogs romp with the larger dogs. On occasion a shy or older larger dog may be seen in play with the smaller dogs. There also may be times when we have an extra rambunctious smaller dog that may do better with the big kids.
Pet parents must provide proof of the following current vaccinations on their first visit:
Frontline (or similar) monthly flea and tick preventative medication is also required.
Please have your vet's office call or email us confirmation or bring photocopies upon check-in.
Please be respectful of the health of the pack and do not bring your sick pooch to daycare until they are feeling 100% and free of all symptoms. In certain cases, Pooch Play reserves the right to request a health clearance from your veterinarian.
If one of our pack leaders notices that your pooch is under the weather, they will be separated from the pack and allowed to rest in one of our suites until you or your designated representative can come and pick them up. If we feel your pooch needs immediate veterinary care we will promptly notify you and take him/her to one of our on-call veterinarians for treatment.
